Ariel Award nominee, Cecilia Villaverde is a filmmaker specializing in auteur cinema with expertise in audiovisual content creation including documentaries, music videos, commercials, editorial and experimental films. As a director, cinematographer and post-producer, her storytelling aims to showcase human stories, with an emphasis on the LGBTQ+.
Her ability to transform passion into images has led to collaborations with clients such as General Motors, Diageo, KIA Motors, Mini Cooper, Aeromexico Airlines, HP, United Colors of Benetton, BMW, Audi, Tourism Las Vegas, Tourism Vancouver, Bahidorá Festival, Bacalart Festival and artists such as Gabriel Garzón-Montano, Tomasa del Real, Barragann, La Bruja de Texcoco & Ruben Albarrán.
Her work has been exhibited in Paris, Mexico, and New York City. She is currently based in Mexico City.
