La Bruja de Texcoco es una persona dual, fronteriza y trans. Es una bruja, sí, y para creerlo sólo hace falta verla. Su presencia escénica no desaparece cuando baja del escenario, ni cuando se quita un vestuario siempre más espectacular que el anterior, sino que la acompaña en las calles de la Ciudad de México, que recorre con el violín en la mano. Es música, compositora y performer; les escribe canciones a las montañas, al mar, a las sirenas, al amor, a su transición, a su feminidad. Para ella, el hecho de caminar en este mundo siendo quien es, es un reto de vida al que se enfrenta con orgullo y una creatividad única y expansiva. La bruja ha salido no sólo de uno, sino de muchos closets, pero también ha aprendido que hay otros tantos de los que no es necesario salir. Se puede ser feliz ahí adentro y también se puede salir y volver a entrar voluntariamente. Para ella, quien vive en una dualidad de cuerpo y espíritu, todo cambia, todo se transforma continuamente y esa capacidad se traduce en magia, poder y magnetismo.
La Bruja de Texcoco is a dual, borderline, trans persona. She is a witch, yes, and to believe it you must see her. Her stage presence does not disappear when she leaves the spotlight or takes off her gown, always more spectacular than the previous one; it walks with her along the streets of México City everywhere she goes, usually with her violin at hand. She is a musician, composer and performer who has written songs to the mountains, the ocean, the mermaids; to love, to her transition and to her femineity. Living in this world being who she is, is a la life challenge she faces with pride and an explosive creativity. The witch has come out of, not one, but several closets, but she has also learned it’s not necessary to exit all of them. You can be happy inside some of those or leave and come back in if you must. For her, who lives in a dual body and spirit, everything changes and transforms constantly and that’s what makes her magic, powerful and magnetic.
